Igniting a passion for science through stories.
Creating innovative picture books designed to teach science through storytelling.
We are a non-profit and emerging children’s book publisher. Our mission is to use the power of stories to excite kids about science.
create
With experience in both research and editorial work, we figure out how to break down complex, groundbreaking science into stories aimed for preK-2nd graders.
publish
We publish these stories in our science picture books, staying hands-on from research and writing to illustrations and launch. We craft innovative books with both an open mind and a scientific eye.
talk
To go beyond publishing and into the student community, we give book talks at elementary schools and will share interviews highlighting the stories behind researchers’ scientific journeys.
target audienceEarly learners deserve rich, exploratory science books too. We’re helping to expand the landscape of science picture books for PreK–2nd graders.
What makes us different?
stand alone storiesInstead of writing informational text, we write stand alone stories that double as metaphors for science concepts. These stories are multi-layered with both life and science themes.
groundbreaking scienceWe write about developing science topics, exposing kids to the excitement and wonder of new scientific discoveries that will shape their future.
unique flexibilityAs a publisher solely focused on science picture books, we’re able to remain nimble, experimental, and responsive to both the book industry and ever-evolving science field.

BOOK A PRE-LAUNCH: BEHIND THE SCENES TALK
Do you have any aspiring writers or scientists in your classroom? We love sharing the behind-the-scenes of creating a book and answering questions like, “How do you start?” “How long does it take to finish a book?” or “How do you print your book?”
We also take students along on our current book journey, asking for their thoughts on book decisions we’re making right now. This way, they get to be part of the process too!
